Shara Narsipur is a passion-driven communicator focused on environmentally and socially driven positive change. With extensive experience in writing, editing, content creation, content management, branding and strategic communications, Shara has advised communications strategy and operations in a variety of settings and industries.
Beginning her career at a content writing agency, Shara has managed relationships with over 300 freelance writers and clients in a variety of industries including sports & gaming, medical, legal, beauty and travel and lifestyle. In 2018, she transitioned into environmental and science communication through the Stanford University Environmental and Water Studies summer program.
Shara was previously the Program Coordinator for San Diego’s BlueTech Incubator and TMA BlueTech, a leading non-profit organizer of the largest BlueTech economic cluster in the United States. She has successfully coordinated three BlueTech Week Conferences, curating programming that featured international bluetech companies and high-profile leaders in ocean-related academia and policy. She now manages internal and external communications for BlueNalu, a groundbreaking cell-cultured seafood company, including their Eat Blue™ educational platform, promoting sustainable seafood and ocean optimism, with a focus on ocean health, human health, animal welfare and economic impact. In her spare time, Shara enjoys surfing, diving and yoga. She also leads a mentorship group for Urban Surf 4 Kids, a San-Diego non-profit that connects foster youth with the ocean.
